The Fitness Focus

Meadow Run Park is more than just a dog park

It is a carefully planned canine exercise facility.  We want to give you plenty of opportunities to physically, mentally, and socially exercise your best friend.
Enjoy the park with your pup:
  • Swimming
  • Dock jumping
  • Agility
  • Rally obedience course
  • Walking and Running

Swimming

Meadow Run Park has a man-made, well-fed pond that is about 90′ x 130′.  It is about 7′ at its deepest point and has a shallow end with a beach.  Swimming and playing in the water is certainly the number one activity for the dogs at the park!

The Dock

There is a regulation size 8′ x 40′ dock at the pond for dock jumping.  The dock is available for all members and visitors to try with their dogs.  Meadow Run is also pleased to provide swimming and dock classes and clinics with trainers from TipTopTails. This training includes swimming and water familiarization, using the dock, starting your dog jumping, and improving your dog’s jumps. See www.TipTopTails.com for more information on classes.

Agility

Meadow Run has a full agility course available for all visitors and members to use.  The course includes 6 standard jumps, a tire jump, a plank jump, a double jump, a triple jump, a tunnel, a table, weaves poles, a training teeter, a dog walk, and an A-frame.

Rally Obedience

Several times during the summer, we set up a rally obedience course set up for you to play with your dog.

Walking and Running

Most members and visitors take advantage of the spaciousness of the park for a good walk or run.  A full perimeter walk of both the meadow and the separately fenced area is just over 2/3 mile.  Around the meadow is 0.6 miles and around the separately fenced area is 0.4 miles.
Additionally, there are tennis balls and throwers by each gate and an outdoor rinse-off area by the main gate for use at the park.
